Animation Director

This is a fantastic opportunity for a decidedly knowledgeable Animation Director to join forces with one of the most widely respected names in the industry. This is a Senior and key hire for the studio – as such all applicants will be expected to possess demonstrable experience within the video games industry specifically – further demonstrated by having several published AAA and current gen titles to your credit. (Ideally MC 80+ and within the combat/action/adventure genre)

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the animation team ensuring the quality of animation is kept to an exceedingly high level, for keeping animation projects on schedule and for delivering consistent performances by assigning and or recruiting the appropriate Animators to work on key specific projects. The Animation Director must possess an in-depth understanding of the implications of movement, quality, style, continuity, budgets and scheduling.

In addition to possessing outstanding animation skills, you will need to demonstrate leadership, management, and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to take responsibility and demonstrate leadership. The capacity to clearly communicate an artistic vision is paramount. Proficiency with one or more industry standard 3d packages is vital (Maya, 3DS Max etc)
